Orient East offers an eclectic mix of classic Penang favourites and Li Teoh’s own creative take on Malaysian dishes. The Orient East philosophy centres on the idea that good food is to be enjoyed in a lively group setting, so sharing a variety of dishes is encouraged.
Start your day with a shophouse-style breakfast of congee with foo yee tofu, black olive mustard, shredded ham and crispy you tiao (fried Chinese dough sticks) paired with a freshly brewed coffee. For lunch or dinner, try our signature beef cheek rendang and wok-tossed char koay teow noodles, or perhaps give our gula melaka-glazed Flinders Island lamb ribs braised in master stock a go. All made with local produce, these tantalising dishes combine the essence of authentic Malaysian home-style cooking with contemporary new wave Asian panache. Orient East also offers modern western favourites, including burgers, sandwiches and salads.
